Design Lessons from a Supremely Stylish Mexican Home

This living room, from a beautiful old home in Mexico's capital, caught my eye and then held it for a long, long time. It's the sort of space that invites closer inspection -- you want to draw in everything that's happening and ingest it. I looked, and then I started to think about what makes this space so compelling. Of course the tall ceilings and chandeliers and gorgeous old floors are bringing a lot to the table, but there are still plenty of ideas for those of us living in humbler dwellings...
